Terms and Conditions for New Power Bug Trolleys and Accessories

Warranties contained with PowerBug products are offered as an extra benefit and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Warranties apply strictly to country of original purchase and are geographically non transferable.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to return goods under warranty to us at their cost if the goods have been exported by the purchaser, or if at the request of the purchaser goods are delivered to a non UK mainland destination, together with the returning carriage and packing costs.

Please retain the electric golf trolley carton and packaging for transportation in the unlikely event of the need to return the product.

Warranties apply strictly to UK Mainland and are geographically non-transferable.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal use.

Any failure or damage caused by accidental damage or as a result of abuse or misuse or commercial use is not covered.

Batteries are covered by a separate warranty. (Please see below).

In the unlikely event you need to make a claim you must provide your proof of purchase so please ensure this is kept safe.

All PowerBug electric golf trolleys carry a 12 month warranty.

PowerBug Sport and Pro-Sport

12 months from date of purchase.

PowerBug Pro-Tour

12 months from date of purchase.

Cancellations / Refunds / Returns/ Faults

To cancel a contract you must give us notice before goods are shipped.
Requests by telephone to return an item or cancel an order can be accepted but must be confirmed by one of the contact methods detailed above.

New "return to stock” items can only be accepted by prior written agreement and certainly within 30 days of the date you received the goods.

We take this opportunity to advise that the right to cancel does not apply to:

· Personalised goods or goods made to your specification;

· Goods that cannot, by their nature, be returned;



In line with the SALE OF GOODS ACT it is the responsibility of the purchaser to return goods under warranty to us at their cost if:

1) At the request of the purchaser goods are delivered to a non UK mainland destination;

2) Six calendar months have passed since the original date of purchase within mainland UK

With regard to the above, the cost of carriage back to us will be refunded if the goods are found to be faulty due to a manufacturers defect and the goods have not been exported outside of the UK mainland.

Goods purchased and delivered to mainland UK destinations and reported faulty due to a manufacturers fault or error within a six month period from date of purchase can be collected by one of our national carriers.

In the first instance we will ask that the customer utilises one of our collection/delivery resources. Details available on request.

If not acceptable customers may opt to use their own method of transport to us.

In this instance proof of delivery is advised as proof of dispatch is not proof of delivery, supported by an electronic receipt for the cost of carriage to us.

In the event of the product proving to be faulty due to a manufacturing defect or error, we shall repair or replace the product at our cost and deliver it back to you refunding the cost of freight from you to us.

If you have elected to use your own method of delivery to us, we shall refund the lower freight cost when compared to our on-line offering and your chosen carriers receipt.

If upon inspection it is found that a product has been damaged outside of warranty, we shall contact you advising the cost of inspection, repair and return carriage to you.

Please see below in FAULTS for more details.

Carriage to us in these circumstances will not be refunded.

If the repair is not authorised the goods can be collected from us or we can arrange delivery back to you by offering our collection/delivery service.

A returning item must travel with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) issued by us which will allow us to trace and match your return to your account / payment method with us. Please note it is essential that the RAN number is clearly printed on the returned package(s) and mentioned in all associated correspondence. Failure to mention the RAN number will cause delays.

The return of any item is the responsibility of the customer.

We ask you to ensure that goods are adequately protected, packaged and insured.

Power Bug Quality Electric Golf Trolleys are supplied to market and have earned the reputation of being a premier product renowned for their build quality and reliability.

Chrisdee Ltd cannot accept liability for returned packages damaged during transit. It is the customer's responsibility to protect the product adequately to prevent damage.

All returned goods must mention a Power Bug Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) which must be obtained for each item to be returned.

We can only accept returns from the original purchaser.

The return of any item is the responsibility of the customer so we therefore advise you to send the item(s) back by some form of recorded delivery method, as proof of postage is not proof of delivery. We also advise you to ensure the goods are adequately protected, packaged and insured for their return journey.

On receipt of the returned product we will test it to identify the fault you have notified to us.

If following the testing process, the product is found to be in good working order without defect, we will return the product to you. The carriage costs will be your responsibility together with an inspection charge of £17.50. You will be required to make satisfactory provision to settle any outstanding amount connected with the return, prior to us dispatching.

Please note that if you have, in the meantime, required us to provide you with a replacement product before completion of the testing process, you will have to pay for this product also.

Warranty shall not apply if the goods have been worked upon, altered or damaged in any way by the Customer or its employees or agents, or to goods not used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Unless otherwise stated in the product documentation, all goods delivered to a UK mainland address carry a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.

Repairs and spares carry a three month warranty from date of purchase / date of repair.

PLEASE NOTE - Batteries are deemed consumables.

Batteries supplied to retailers should be rotated on a first in first out basis. It is the responsibility of the retailer for correct handling and battery maintenance during periods of dormant storage.

Hurricana batteries carry a 12 month conditional warranty from point of sale to our customers.

MAXI batteries carry a 12 month warranty from point of sale to our customers.

Customers who wish to make a warranty claim must comply with the product’s instructions and warranty procedure. In order to resolve your problem as quickly as possible, we do need to have complete and detailed description of any faults.

If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.

We require faulty goods to be returned within 30 days or less in order to secure a refund. Any goods returned after that period will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.

We can only accept the return of products that do not meet the description, if they are returned to us within 14 days. Beyond that period you will be deemed to have accepted the goods and you must therefore check the goods promptly upon receipt.

Lithium Battery Care

Do not drop lithium batteries. This could cause internal cell damage and render it useless. In these circumstances it is not viable to repair the battery and it should be disposed of responsibly.

Do not allow your lithium battery to be exposed to excess water or to be immersed. Avoid puddles and do not leave standing in torrential rain. Do not clean your trolley with the battery in the battery tray.

Ensure that the battery is always recharged after each use.

Always disconnect your lithium battery from the charger when fully charged.

Lithium batteries should not be exposed to extreme temperature conditions.

Your Lithium battery must be stored in a safe, dry, well ventilated non-carpeted area charging at temperatures ranging between 10°C and 30°C

Charging above or below these temperatures is not recommended as it can reduce battery capacity.

Please note that charging below 0°C will cause long term damage to your battery.

Lithium chargers MUST NOT be used to charge any other battery and is designed for use with PowerBug Lithium batteries only.

The Lithium battery charger should only be opened and maintained by authorised personnel.

Unauthorised tampering of a battery or charger will void your warranty.

Always provide appropriate supervision when the young or infirm are handling electrical equipment.

To charge a lithium battery

Plug the charger into the AC socket and ‘power up’ before connecting output leads to the battery.

Connect the battery to the charger. The RED LED will illuminate indicating fast charge.

When the LED shows green the battery is fully charged and ready for use.

Disconnect charger from the power outlet before removing from the battery.

Avoid leaving charger plugged in for extended periods when not charging a battery.

To reduce fraudulent use of customer credit cards, all orders are accepted at our discretion and are subject to various security checks. In most cases, we will ship to any convenient address but we reserve the right to decline your order if we believe this represents a security risk. On high value orders, we may also try to contact you. We are not obliged to supply the goods until we have confirmed acceptance of your order and all products are supplied subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply any item ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. All images of product on this site are for guidance only.
